Anti Tank Dogs

Anti-tank dogs introduced by the Soviet Union to blow up German tanks during World War II. A large number of dogs trained to carry explosives toward battle tanks, armored vehicles and other military targets.



The concept initially, these dogs are trained to carry and drop bombs near the tank and left the location, then the bomb will be detonated by remote or timer. However, the process of release of the bomb by the dog was very complicated and time consuming, eventually the concept changed to detonate a bomb with a dog.

Although it has been trained, the dogs of anti-tank is not making significant damage to Germany, this is because the natural instinct of animals who fear noise and firearms. Even some of the dogs are even approaching Soviet tanks belonging to himself. Until 1996, the anti-tank dog training is still underway though not proven efficient on the battlefield.
